Cattle drives from Alpine pastures - Colourfully decorated cows are driven down from Alpine pastures into the valley below – the villages of the holiday region however offer you more this weekend: a march past by bands, the “Schuhplattler” folk dance, craftsmen demonstrate traditional crafts and in addition there are delicacies from Tyrolean cuisine.
There are a varity of traditional events the whole year threw. The inhabitants of Thiersee have a very big relation to their acient customs and tradition. Take pleasure in traditional fairs, Tyrolean evenings with the local folk dance group, musical brunches, and open air concerts or the Leonhardi Ride in the Thiersee Valley (Traditional ride on decorated horses, carriages and harnessed teams).
Lake Festival in the Thiersee Valley
In July, Thiersee plays host to the well-loved lake festival – an open air event down by the lido. The festival begins with the entrance of the band – live music, Tyrolean delicacies and any amount of fun are twice the pleasure surrounded by this gorgeous natural scenery.
