As opposed to traditional festival locations such as Mörbisch am Neusiedlersee, the fortress of Kufstein offers a significant advantage; the stage and the audience are sheltered in the event of rain, thanks to modern technology. In the event of bad weather, a gigantic umbrella opens, keeping both artists and the audience dry. This makes the event facility in the Kufstein fortress even more attractive for all types of events, from spring through to autumn.
The magical backdrop of the Josef castle will stage the annual Kufstein festival of operettas. The majestically floodlit Josef castle, the fantastic music, the wonderful singers, an outstanding orchestra, lovely costumes and a stage set in keeping with the old walls will make the hearts of operetta fans soar.
